Teruhide Kato (1936–2015)
Teruhide Kato studied at Kyoto Art College. He was a famous kimono fashion designer. When he was 50 years old, he decided to follow his true passion and became a traditional Kyoto woodblock artist. Success followed him throughout his career. After a gallery exhibition in New York and the publication of a book of his works titled “Kyoto Romance,” he gained as much fame as a woodblock artist as he had as a kimono designer.
