
Tachibina (Standing) dolls are said to be the origin of Hina dolls, and are characterized by their unique standing posture. Designated by the Minister of International Trade and Industry, it is stamped with the “Densan Mark” as a traditional craft.
The materials and processing used for the doll bodies are all faithful to traditional techniques. They comply with the “Traditional Arts Act” enacted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and are certified as traditional crafts.
All dolls are designed by traditional craftsman Kanabayashi Shintaro and are almost entirely handmade by skilled, specialized craftsmen. Costumes adorned with real gold. The gold thread is inlaid into the male and female dolls in a well-balanced form. The body is made of natural paulownia wood.
The quality has been passed down and refined for 280 years.
